PHOENIX Interactive announces Warlord Learn-to-Play Set
Scheduled for April PHOENIX Interactive publishes a Learn-to-Play Set for Warlord 4th Edition containing two introductory 50-card decks, quick-start-rules, and a 20-sided dice at an entry-level price point.
“After the successful re-launch last summer and the first expansion in November we have been getting rave reviews about Warlord 4th Edition”, says PHOENIX Interactive owner and Warlord-fan Arne Reuter. “The one thing our players criticized was that in the current packaging theme the Adventure Path Sets - by including 20 rare cards - pack a lot more punch than starters ever did, but new players could not know that and would therefore not enter the game easily.”
This is addressed now. The Warlord 4E Learn-to-Play Set contains two balanced 50-card decks and a set of quick-start rules that players can use to pick up the game swiftly. Apart from the new Warlords there are six entirely new unique cards, as well as several reprints that have not been part of Warlord 4E before. Veteran players will be happy to learn that all new cards apart from the Warlords are contained in the Learn-to-Play set twice.
The MSRP for the Learn-to-Play set is set competitively at 14.95 EUR or $19.99 and comes complete with an original CHESSEX Gemini 20-sided dice. It will be available world-wide in mid April 2009.
PHOENIX Interactive GmbH is a privately owned company, based in Muenster, Germany. Taking over the license from Alderac Entertainment Group (Ontario, CA) in January 2008 it is responsible for the successful relaunch of Warlord 4th Edition, the “game you already know how to play”.

Thanks Arne! I and others should benefit greatly from the lesser sticker shock of the learn to play set. Looking forward to finding out what the 2 new kids are like and the other new stuff.
