Warlord auf Deutsch

Some of you may have wondered why I wasn’t posting all the much. Easy really: No time and deadlines looming. From April 3rd to 5th the Role-Play Convention takes place for the third time (this time, unfortunately, in Cologne). The big thing about this is, that the organizer has a very unique view on what “Fantasy Role-Play” is.

Instead of having the same old, same old black-T-shirted long-haired guys, smelling … interestingly on the last day of a Con, this convention dumps computer FRPG players (those MMORG players), LARPers, card pushers and “real” RPGers in one convention. This mix works great, because there you actually can find people who never knew that you could have a hobby away from a keyboard ;-).

What makes more sense than to bring out the L2P set for it? Not much. Except, this time we’ll have the Learn-to-Play set in two languages! Yes, for the first time there’ll be an entire product in a different language. Err, yes, German, of course. The box is the same, but the German version will have a sticker on it:

L2P Deckel

You are saying to you can’t imagine seeing German language cards? Well, it took me a while, too, but now I really like them. Here are a few examples:

Yvaalis - deutsch

Knochenschnitter Schwatzender Tausendmund Rasen des Stiers Stulpen des Schabernacks Wolkenstürmer

I must say that Bonefiend has the best German name this side of Armageddon. Hands down.

    And I want German Warlord.

  2. Ray Says:

What happens when people wanna use them over here in the US tournaments? lol

  3. Baron Fireblade Says:

    FINALLY !!!!

    I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Already ordered 5 sets…

  4. AshGaidin Says:

Shouldn’t it be Handschuhe des Schabernacks with the trait Stulpen?

[Ed.: Try to fit “Handschuhe des Schabernacks” into the template. Duh. Stulpen technically are only part of the type of gloves shown (there are “Stulpenstiefel” as well, but it makes for a nice alliteration). Call it creative use of the language.]

  5. lukelorian Says:

    why can’t i order them :-(

im sure they would be good extra credit for my german class…

[Ed.: If there is a big petition starting I might either send a small amount to the US or bring a few to GenCon…]

…No, I’m sorry, you must use your native language as I, a non-German speaker tell you to. This is not acceptable.

    :) :) :)

Oh wow…I’m confused…but I guess I will get used to the German Warlod…
    spent = verausgabe…weird…
but it’s funny if you’re used to the english version

  10. Marcethus Says:

It would be good if they would spoil the English version of the card since the Greman version won’t be available over here.

  11. AragornRoR Says:

He has already been spoiled on the Temple, I believe.

I was waiting for this moment! I have no problems with English cards but my son (10 yrs.) has. So, finally, I can enjoy this fine TCG with my son.
