Warlord CCG back in North American distribution

Muenster, Germany June 16th, 2009

Phoenix Interactive and Alliance Game Distributors are pleased to announce that they have reached an exclusive distribution agreement to bring Warlord: Saga of the Storm CCG 4th Edition back into gaming stores in the USA and Canada.

The Warlord: Saga of the Storm CCG was introduced in 2001 to critical and consumer acclaim. Its Rank and File game engine brought elements of tactical combat and the feel of a miniatures wargame to the collectible card arena, and introduced a new category of CCG and CCG players.

We are very happy with the way Warlord has clawed its way back onto the strategy card game main stage by using internet marketing and direct distribution“ says Arne Reuter, president of PI. „Now has come a time to take the next step and service all those Warlord fans in North America we couldn’t reach before. Alliance is the perfect partner for this“, he adds.

We have loved the Warlord product since before its introduction to retailers and consumers,“ said Mike Webb, Vice President of Marketing and Customer Service for Alliance. „In fact, Alliance employees took the top two spots in the first official Warlord tournament at Gama Trade Show 2001. Since then we have found the product to be steady seller with a devoted fan base, and a game whose sales do not canibalize any exisiting lines. We’re excited to have the opportunity to be part of Warlord’s return to the North American marketplace!“

Warlord 4th Edition - is sold in fixed content packages containing two 55-card decks of competing factions, allowing two players to start playing right away. It is produced under license from Alderac Entertainment Group in Ontario, California.

Previews, rules and other news are posted on the 4th Edition weblog, found under www.warlordccg.de.

Warlord: It’s more than just a game.
