A classic encounter

Friday, September 25th, 2009

Along with the goblinoid swamp squatters und Scyrax’s command (if you want to call it that) another classic D&D monster makes an appearance in Sands of Oblivion, joining the Nothrog. I’ll give you a hint: Their skin is blue and they work illusionist magic!

Or should we say “spit upon”? In any case, here’s the second Sands of Oblivion preview (subject to change):

Sands of Oblivion is still a few weeks away, but I thought I’d treat you to the very first preview. I am looking forward to your comments ;-).

Warlord: Sands of Oblivion pre-orders available

Friday, September 11th, 2009

After the Treasure Chest mini-expansion I am happy to announce the third full expansion for Warlord 4E, scheduled for November 30th, 2009.

This expansion will consist of 7 distinct 55-card adventure path sets - one for each faction. There will again be a distribution of rare, uncommon, and common cards in each of the packs, similar to previous expansions.

The pre-order is now available at our online shop (for North America/outside Europe) - you will get an unreleased promo card with each set you order.

Special Event promos 2009

Friday, September 11th, 2009

We are finally catching up on things. With the pre-registration for KoHIT becoming available at the shop later today we have set the promo cards into stone for it. Each participant at KoHIT will receive a playset of 2 characters and 1 item each.

The good news for GenCon participants: Send your full mail address to Don’s PM box at www.cardmasters.de (dadofdavid) and we will mail the KoHIT promos to you after KoHIT.

New Promo Legalities

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

There are few of the previously not tournament-legal promo cards that are going to become legal on November 1st, 2009 (just in time for KoHIT, of course), amongst them:

  • Fors
  • Mimik
  • Phraistos
  • Sin-Marduk

GenCon Fallout

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

Matt Drake is a “crassly opinionated game reviewer” from Texas of all places, who in his blog Drake’s Flame loves to use all sorts of language to describe the games and who really only does it to get free copies of the games. Which seems to work. Oh - and his blog is really fun to read, too.

Recently (like yesterday?) he posted his review of the Warlord Learn-to-Play Set. As it turns it he hid at the booth next to us at GenCon (if I only know which of the guys over there he was).

So why don’t you head over and tell him what you think of his review? I already did.

New Ordo Members

Saturday, September 5th, 2009

Okay, some of these might not be new, but they added to their existing membership. AFAIK these are all the new members that came on board during the Sell-A-Thon (and are eligible for the special prizes). If you or somebody you know who definitely joined are not on this list, please contact me immediately!
