One of my favorite western movies of all times. Doesn’t get much better than that (well, Silverado wasn’t bad either). It ran on TV a few nights back and it always makes for a good title. Now i just have to find topics to fill the title.

The Good

That’s pretty easy. I was already very proud of the Warlord 4E base set, which turned out quite well in my opinion. To produce an expansion was much more a challenge. With the base set I knew the cards, it was more or less putting them together right and adding a few new ones as spice.

So the hidden reveal of Set’rokh made you think about her?

Here’s something for you.

I am supposed to like all the Warlords in a set. But these are not my children (those I all like ;-)). So I am allowed to play favorites. And this is definitely one of my personal top three Warlords I look forward to play:

Just to give you an overview, these are the people I have mug orders from that did not already order at KoHIT:

The order phase for mugs ends today - I am in the process of putting together all the orders I have received.

So far I have shown something of everything, except The Chosen. Hmm. TCGplayer.com was supposed to preview some exclusives and I did send those to them (including the The Chosen Warlord). So far they haven’t appeared.

So I’ll compromise.

I have been pleasantly surprised by the number and quality of proposals I have received from US tournament organizers. For this reason we have decided to a) update the number of Winter Campaign events in the US from four to six and b) to slightly modify the main prize.

The 2008/2009 Winter Campaign dates and locations for the United States are:

• December 13th, Miami, Florida
• January 10th, Bayonne, New Jersey
• January 17th, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
• January 24th, Medford, Oregon
• February 14th, Los Angeles California
• February 28th, Mattoon, Illinois

I am very pleased with how these tournaments cover our Warlord communities as well as I could have hoped for. Further details will be divulged in the near futures and all TOs are asked to put up event websites where you can find more information about the events, traveling, hotels, etc.

Since with nine events world-wide the amount of heroes could seriously unbalance the environment, the main prize is modified as such:

“The winner of tournament gains a Hero card for his faction. The card will identify him/her as a Winter Campaign Hero. If the faction has already gained two Hero cards previously, the following cards will be Hero-related action or item cards that favor the winner’s faction.”

Lastly - if you need serious transportation to the events, you might want to try some close-air-ranged private emergency transport:

Just as a reminder: On Friday I will assemble the KoHIT Mugs orders and have them produced. There will be no chance to order them after November 27th!

Also on the day after (November 28th) the pre-order phase for Warlord: Shattered Empires will end. You will of course be able to order it afterwards, but this is you only chance to get the promo Daemons Fors and Phraistos.
