Warlord 4th Edition CCG - the epic fantasy card game

With the first events occurring on April 10, logistics dictate that we end the window of time for ordering Surge of the Sutek in North America on Sunday, April 4. I’ve read that a lot of groups are working together the funds or still trying to nail down a venue or similar problems. I’m not trying to hasten you, but very soon our back will be against the wall if we’re to guarantee that you receive your kit so the sooner you order the better. Also, I’ve had at least one account of a tournament organizer having trouble ordering through the store. If this happens to you, keep calm and email support(at)warlordccg(dot)com and I’ll work something out with you.

Surge of the Sutek is your only chance to get Sir Valance in the forseeable future. It is also the only chance to face the new overlord, Drasek the Furious, until the Summer Campaign.

Suppose there was an upcoming campaign over the summer, let’s say. And suppose there were going to be custom dice given the top four players, where the second through fourth place players all received similar dice (placing dice) and the first place player won a die with different colors to distinguish it (winners dice), theoretically. Now this is just speculating, you understand, but if the placing dice were white dice with black ink and the winners dice were black dice, well just what color should the ink on the winners dice be: white, red, or yellow? It’s a powerful difficult decision. I wonder if a poll wouldn’t help me decide. I wonder, too, if another die (same design / different colors) were produced and traded for XP near the end of summer / beginning of fall if that would be well received or if people would think it devalues the prize dice. I would hope it would go over well. Perhaps those dice would be gray. Hmm, food for thought for the afternoon.

The Surge of the Sutek event is coming up swiftly. You as the players (or rather the winner of your event) will decide whether the Sutek will return to to dwell in their swamp huts or whether they will swarm out to recapture the glory of their empire! If the vote is “Yes”, we’ll make sure that the Sutek are a viable choice for players (adding at least a third Warlord and Sutek support cards). If the vote turns out to be “No”, well, that’s you choice then.

Please check with your local Warlord club or store whether they have ordered the Surge of the Sutek kit (which has been updated to be a much better value now!) - there are still quite a few groups missing in my files. This for now is the only chance to pick up Sir Valance or a full-bleed promo copy of the Sands of Oblivion dragon Verdigris as well as to influence the Warlord universe.

Just a quick note that this summer the Summer Campaign will make its return. The details are being worked out and as soon as a few key corners get turned I will announce something with a lot more substance. I just want people to keep this on their radar screens.

Yeah, I hear you man. I should have seen that the prize kit was looking a little thin. So let’s do this, let’s add some stuff to the SotS kit. Let’s throw in one of each of the Sands of Oblivion decks and, oh, let’s triple the number of Verdigris and let’s keep the price the same.

That’ll make the Surge of the Sutek kit look like this:

• one each of APS 1 – 19
• one Treasure Chest
• 12 copies of Sir Valance
• 12 copies of the full-bleed Verdigris
• one of the new Overlord kits featuring Drasek the Furious
• same original price

If you’ve already ordered a kit have no fear, your kit will arrive with the contents listed here.

In response to a post made on the Temple of Lore I wanted to inform everyone that I have a plan for the Dragon Lord program in mind and that I have posted the framework of that plan on the Cardmasters forum in the Dragon Lord Runners and Tournament Organizers forums. Since I only oversee North America, this plan will only affect that region.

With the release of Sands of Oblivion there will also be the release of a new Overlord: Drasek the Furious. He was revealed in Germany at the release tournament for SoO, but the rest of the world has been left in the dark. It is without further ado that I present to you Drasek the Furious:
